Introduction to Prayer at Christ Covenant
Christ Covenant recognizes the importance of prayer in the life of each believer and the church for the glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom. We aim to put fruitful intercession at the core of our ministry: holding high the value of prayer, training and encouraging the life of prayer, facilitating the practice of prayer throughout our ministry.
Aaron and Hur Intercession Group
Wednesdays, 10 am—Carter Home, 4 Floral Place, Fxbg
The name of this group is taken from Exodus 17:10-12, an account of Moses praying with the support of two chief aids, Aaron and Hur. For centuries pastors have invited others to pray with them and called them “Aaron and Hur groups.” This is a group for focused intercessory prayer open to all who are available, sense a calling to intercessory prayer or want to grow in their own practice of prayer. In addition, if you would like to join Pastor Bill in prayer, but are not avail-able at this time, click here to Turn on JavaScript! or speak with him about the possibility of starting an additional group.
Circles of Intercession at Christ Covenant
We see prayer ministry functioning across three several concentric circles representing the need for confidentiality.
Public Prayer - Our prayer time together in worship
General Intercession - Prayer needs shared by email with the Christ Covenant participants who have expressed a willingness to pray.
Specific Intercession - Prayer needs shared with a limited group of intercessors with a particular gifting in intercession, a commitment to confidentiality, invest time daily in intercession and meet monthly for prayer and ministry with Pastor Bill.
