Worship Service

Our aim at Christ Covenant is for Sunday Worship to be:

God-Centered

That is to say that worship will be more about who God is, what He has done and our response to that, while being less about what I can, will or must do or about what I feel.  The Bible is our source book, for it is rich with expression of God-centered worship.  When all is said and done, the question is not “Did the worship experience move me,” but “Has God been glorified by us together?”  That will move me – and move us all – in the direction of the Gospel.

Corporate

The Worship experience is intended to involve everyone present in a safe and meaningful way.  The musical styles reflect who we are.  Activities are meant to promote and support participation.  We aim to avoid a stage production atmosphere or manipulation.  Because all of us are in process in our relationship with God, we hope our service is safe for a visitor or observer to come and simply be with us, but always inviting to join in.

Accessible

We plan our worship service with the intention of making it easy for everyone to join in.  Things like how high the songs are, how often we sing particular songs, language used are carefully considered – and altered where need be – to make worship understandable, meaningful and true.
